There will not be an ARPAC meeting tomorrow evening (Tuesday, Jan. 30), the first ARPAC meeting of the semester will be on Tuesday, February 27, at 5 PM in the Advising Center. Coffee With the Principal is this Friday, February 2, at 8 AM in the Main Office!

REBAR students helped out at the Annual Fortuna Sunrise Rotary Seafood Boil at the Riverlodge on Saturday. A big thank you to them for representing AR and helping to raise money for the Eel River Valley Youth Education Programs!
Complete and drop off your AR application all in one place at our application workshop on Monday, January 29th at the Fortuna High School library! This workshop, hosted by Academic Counselor Brooke Martin and Principal Arnold King, will provide you with not only a space to sit down and complete your application, but support through the entire process. Bring any questions you may have about the application or if you have completed the application, but haven't sent it to us yet, feel free to drop it off and say "Hi". We hope to see you there!

Dear AR Parents & Guardians, We utilize data from the California Healthy Kids Surveys for students, parents, and staff to better understand the needs of our community in order to more effectively support and serve our students. Results from these surveys will be shared with the Fortuna Union High School District board of trustees and will help inform updates to the district LCAP. Even more importantly, the AR staff looks at this data in order to best prioritize planning and focuses for the upcoming school year. The link below is only for AR Parents/Guardians. AR students to appear live on "Mad Money" on CNBC Today at 3pm!!! - AR's College and Career class has been learning about stocks and investing during a Financial Literacy Unit this semester. They watched various Mad Money clips in class and have a Mad Money Project. Instructor Bertotti reached out to the show to see if we could have one of our students go "on the air" and to get real life experience learning about stocks through media. They loved the idea and Bertotti and students will be appearing live today at 3pm! In recognition of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reductions's World Tsunami Day on November 5th, Principal King will be hosting a screening of the 23 minute NBC documentary "Kamome," about how the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami connected the small but distant towns of Rikuzentakata, Japan and Crescent City, California. Come to Humanities 110 after school on Monday, November 6th, the documentary will start at 3 PM.
