Meet and network with local professionals to explore fulfilling careers, internships, seasonal, and part-time job opportunities at the College of the Redwoods Internship and Career Exploration Fair, Thursday, November 13th, from 11:00-2:00 pm in the LRC on the CR Main Campus!

This is an important reminder regarding school schedules and bus transportation for Monday, November 10th.

Academy of the Redwoods will be IN SESSION.
Fortuna High School (FHS) will be OUT OF SESSION.
There will be NO outlying bus service in the morning or afternoon.

All students must be dropped off at the FHS 14th Street parking lot to catch the bus to AR.
Students must be picked up from the FHS 14th Street parking lot in the afternoon.

Academy of the Redwoods Academy Award Winner - Jayden Taylor

Jayden is our Academy Award Winner this week. Mr. Codispoti has recognized him for being incredibly helpful, volunteering before being asked, and acting with integrity. Thank you, Jayden, for being a fantastic role model!

The First Years narrowly missed a rainy day for the annual First Year Field Trip to Sue-Meg State Park. We had a great time touring a reconstructed Yurok village, guided by State Park staff Cochise, and taking a nature hike to Wedding Rock with sweeping views of the Pacific Coast. To top it off, students returned to campus for a team-based scavenger hunt with a crew of helpful Fourth Years guiding the troops.

AR Soroptimist International of Humboldt Bay’s Girl of the Month for October is Emily Pinck!! There are only a few of these awarded each year, you should be very proud. We selected Emily based on our belief in her potential and achievements.
