Magdalena is an outgoing yet calm student who is eager for knowledge. Her friends and family also describeher as caring, cooperative, reliable, and trustworthy. When she is not studying to pursue her dream ofbecoming a psychologist, she loves reading, playing sports, and practicing music. In particular, she lovesplaying the saxophone and played the piano for a few years. She enjoys spending time with her family andher two cats. Muhammad Ashraf has recently taken up debate, where he enjoys discussing current world events andunderstanding different prospectives related to a topic. He hopes to become aneconomist one day, and would love to take a class related to economics in the US. Yong Sin is an incredible storyteller, which makes up a huge part of her personality. This passion stemmed from her childhood love of books and old Hollywood movies, and has expanded to her interest in journalism and public speaking. Yong Sin is an avid Girl Guide, which has given her confidence and leadership skills that she applies to her daily life. Her aspiration for this exchange experience reaches beyond geographical boundaries, and she believes it's about connecting lives, sharing cultures, and building bridges between worlds. Yong Sin cannot wait to have this experience with you!
Badzlin Balqis Binti

Meet Badzlin: a dedicated and adventurous student from Malaysia! She loves to hike or hit the beach with her family, re-watch her favorite movies, collect hot-wheels, and immersive herself in books. She is constantly amazed by her friend's passions, which she believes is the core to her own success. Badzlin is an active member of her school STEM and debate team, which has given her the curiosity to continue to learn more. This ambition has led her to want to pursue a career as a surgeon in her future! In the US, Badzlin has two new skills on her bucket list- learning to ski or play the piano.

Pavitra is always trying new activities to find a favorite. She has participated in basketball, handball, netball, bowling, chess, and dancing, but her current favorite is table tennis! She loves having people around her, and surrounds herself with friends and family whenever possible. She enjoying going to the movies, reading books, cooking, or playing sports with her people. Pavrita's dream job is to be a police officer, which started because of her love of crime TV shows. In the US, Pavitra is interested in learning more about and maybe even playing American Football!

Sanjhanaa has been baking since she was 8 years old and especially loves the decorating part.
Experimenting with different decorations, icings, and fondants allows her to embrace her creative side. Sanjhanaa has recently become interested in graphic design, as she is an editor for her schools young entrepreneur club, working on social media and promotion. In the US, she is interested in involving herself in outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling, since she does not get the chance to participate in these activities often. As an animal lover, Sanjhanaa hopes to be a veterinarian one day!

Aqil comes from a beautiful coastal area, surrounded by beaches and nature. Swimming is one of Aqil's favorite hobbies, not only because it helps him relax, but also contributes to his healthy lifestyle. Aqil is fascinated with motorsports such as Formula 1 and NASCAR, and would love to watch them with his host family. In the future, Aqil aspires to be an architect like his father, because he loves to solve problems and work with a team. Additionally, he is interested in robotics and software development. Aqil is looking forward to facing new challenges and gaining new experiences in the US!

Ambitious, cheerful, and fun-loving seventeen- year-old Mia from Switzerland is a future teacher. She enjoys quality time with family and friends, stays active with her swim club and competitive horseback riding, and coaches youth swimming. Her teachers call her optimistic and diligent. Her parents appreciate her desire for open communication, support, and reliability and note her fear of dogs. She's responsible and keeps the kitchen and her room clean. She's convinced that her exchange "will be the highlight of [her] life and an amazing experience!" She can't wait to meet her host family!

Selina is a 16 year old from Switzerland who loves to cook and bake, especially trying out new recipes. She describes herself as creative and adventurous, and loves experiencing new things. Her mother says she’s empathetic, that it's important to her that everyone is doing well. Selina enjoys spending time with her friends and family. In the wintertime, she likes skiing and snowboards and wants to be out in the sun in the summer. In the past, she has competed in gymnastics and dance but now focuses on her studies. She plans to study psychology, hoping to pursue a career in teaching or therapy.

Urmat is the oldest of four, which makes him a natural
born leader. He loves watching movies and spending time
with his younger brothers. Urmat is very involved in his
local community through volunteering activities. He is
especially interested in working on projects that are
creative and help the environment. In his spare time,
Urmat enjoys listening to music, reading adventure books,
or playing basketball with his friends. Urmat is interested in
both science and math, and hopes to become an IT
specialist one day. He is looking forward to traveling to the
US, and becoming part of your family!

Beibarys loves music! He writes songs and sings to relax.
He has goals to establish a club that teaches kids to play
guitar. Besides music, Beibarys is an avid reader of
detective stories and enjoys cooking with his mother. He
loves adventure through rollerblading, skateboarding, and
biking with friends. He's part of a fitness club, loves board
games, and competes in tournament chess. His teacher
describes Beibarys as self-motivated, sociable, sincere, and
polite. Beibarys says he likes to eat all foods, and he
cannot wait to try American dishes together with his host
family!
