As a leader in international high school exchange for 70 years, AFS brings students from 90+ countries to the U.S. every year to live with a volunteer host family and attend a local high school.
Being an AFS host family means more than just providing a bed and meals. Our families welcome a new member into their homes, share their everyday lives, and grow as they get to know one another. Through this sharing of cultures, the AFS mission of creating peace through understanding is realized.
