Please submit announcements to AR Administrative Assistant Regina Salmon at rsalmon@fuhsdistrict.net by noon the school day before it is to run. Before submission, club announcements must be approved by advisors. Always “cc” your club advisor when submitting a Daily Announcement for your club.

ENGLISH CLASSES ON FRIDAY: All AR English classes will be held in CA 300 this Friday, 9/25. There will be guests of CR doing a presentation in CA 207.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE LATE:
Arriving before 8:40 AM: Go directly to your classroom.
Arriving after 8:40 AM: Stop by the school office first to sign in & pick up a late slip before heading to class.
REBAR HANGOUT: This is the first REBAR hangout of this semester! Join us, Friday on October 2nd from 3:00 - 5:30 in the Lakeview Room for food, games, and fun! Bringing food, drinks, or games is completely optional but it is encouraged as every little bit helps. You can drop off anything you want to bring to the hangout at the office in the morning before school and REBAR members will bring it to the Lakeview Room.

ADVISING
Third Years: Should You Take the SAT?
Who needs it? Students applying to colleges or scholarships that require SAT/ACT scores. Current examples include Stanford, Caltech, Harvard, MIT, and UT Austin. These colleges accept either SAT or ACT; you do not need both.
Planning on UC, CSU, or CR? You do not need the SAT for admission under current policies. Other private and out-of-state colleges vary. Check your schools’ admission and scholarship requirements for fall 2028 entry.
AR does not offer the SAT. Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata offers weekend testing. Confirm availability and location when registering.

Register: Create a College Board account or sign in, then choose a test date and available testing center.
Fee waivers: Income-eligible juniors and seniors can receive two free SAT tests and free score reports. Ask Ms. Wozny about eligibility.
4th YEARS: Interested in the Seal of Biliteracy? Join us for an informational meeting on Friday, October 2nd during Fri3 (MW2) in the AC.

STEM Club
Hello AR! This Friday at lunch in SC104, we will be making green fire. The color of the flame changes based on the chemical (in this case, boric acid) that is added to the fuel source (methanol).On October 2nd, Mr. Ken Pinkerton from the Humboldt Math Festival will be bringing supplies for us to build new demos for AR students to present at Science Night. This means we need extra volunteers to tackle this upcoming Science Night. Because we will be building demos in the STEM Club, we will be offering Community Service for all who help out! This Science Night will be the best one yet and YOU can help make everything run perfectly for the whole Humboldt Community. Thank you and stay curious! Upcoming Important Dates
Humboldt Transit Authority schedules are available at https://hta.org. The AR Office sells monthly bus passes from Humboldt Transit Authority at a discounted rate for students.
Bus rides are free until August 31st.
