Please submit announcements to AR Administrative Assistant Regina Salmon at rsalmon@fuhsdistrict.net by noon the school day before it is to run. Before submission, club announcements must be approved by advisors. Always “cc” your club advisor when submitting a Daily Announcement for your club.

CR CONVOCATION: August 19th - August 21st
CR Faculty will hold meetings across campus. Please be quiet and respectful when waiting outside your classrooms and avoid hanging out in the hallways, LRC, and inside buildings. Let’s be on our TOES!
Campus Closure: Thursday, August 20th from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
The AC will be open during that time to accommodate free periods during the closure.
Tier 2B will still meet in the LRC even though it is closed.
CR Cafe: The CR Cafe is closed on Thursday, August 20th, since CR staff will be having a luncheon outside the Cafe. Students are welcome to eat lunch in the Lakeview Room, Anniversary Grove, or the AC.
Third Years - AR Student Board Representative
We are seeking a third year student to serve as the AR student representative to the Fortuna Union High School District school board. Responsibilities include attending monthly board meetings in Fortuna and preparing a short report for the board. The meetings occur on Tuesday nights starting at 6PM at Fortuna High School. If you have questions or are interested please email Freeman by Tuesday, 8/25 at afreeman@fuhsdistrict.net.
SUMMER COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS: If you did any community service over the summer, your forms are due August 28th.
ATTENTION ALGEBRA 1 STUDENTS: If you feel that you should be placed into Geometry instead of Algebra 1, you will have the opportunity to take the Geometry placement test. This will take place on Thursday 8/20 and Monday 8/24 from 3-4 after school in the Advising Center (next to the office). This test will be longer and cover more material than your first placement test. If you're interested or you have questions, please contact Ms. Brewer as soon as possible.
FALL SEMESTER BOOK LIST FORM: You can find required textbooks on the CR Bookstore website or in your course syllabus. You can submit a new form at any time if you need to order additional books. Here is the link to the form. You will need to use your school email address to log in.
PLEASE REMEMBER that we will have the largest student presence on campus until CR begins on August 25th. Always use all approved walkways. Always have your parent or guardian drop you off by parking in a space rather than stopping quickly to let you out. Thank you!

CLUBS
CHEM CLUB: Chem Club = chemistry class support will start on Monday Aug 24, after school from 3 pm - 4 pm in HU 112. Complete your current assignments, get help from students or Codispoti, ask questions, and brainstorm science night chemistry demonstrations.
STEM CLUB: The STEM Club/ the Science Night Committee would like to invite you to our first meeting of the year! We will be meeting this Friday in SC 104 during lunch. We will be brainstorming ideas for what demonstrations to perform at CR’s annual Science Night. If you have suggestions for fun experiments you want to see, please tell us! Everyone is invited to join us and we will be meeting every Friday until October 16th. Thank you and stay curious! Upcoming Important Dates
Humboldt Transit Authority schedules are available at https://hta.org. The AR Office sells monthly bus passes from Humboldt Transit Authority at a discounted rate for students.
Bus rides are free until August 31st.
